I'm a bit puzzled by this line. Suddenly after seven straight losses, the New York Giants beat a team that has now lost seven straight games, and the Giants are suddenly a good team - one that is favored by a TD? The fact is the Giants have not been favored by more than 4 points all season and were an underdog to this same Washington team, and have been 2-7 since that game. Washington has just three wins of their own, but have suffered losses to six teams that will likely be in the playoffs. Let's not forget that the Giants have scored 17 points or less five times this season, and have an offense that runs hot and cold as Eli Manning has been an adventure over the last couple of seasons. He has thrown 40 INTs since the start of last season, the most by any QB in the NFL over the same timeframe. This game will be a fight to keep out of last place in the NFC East, and this one is always a bitter grudge match between these teams. It is also a game that each thinks they can win, so I expect an intense battle on the defensive side from both teams. The Giants are just 2-6-1 ATS after allowing 14 points or less in their last game, and 7-1 to the UNDER off a win by 14 points or more. New York has also played to a 20-8 mark to the UNDER when following a win in their last 28. Washington comes in with five straight UNDER following a spread loss. The dog has gone 7-1 ATS in the last eight in this series, and the last 11 played in New York have been an intense battle of defenses with the UNDER prevailing in 10 of the 11. No way the G-Men should be laying more a TD. Take the points.
