A veteran Atlanta team is going through the motions again in an unimpressive 16-10 win in the opener, and then a 32-7 no-show loss last week at Houston. They can't afford to risk an injury to QB Matt Ryan, and the backups are terrible with T.J. Yates, Sean Renfree and Jeff Mathews. A year ago in the "all-important" third preseason game, the Falcons lost to these Titans 27-16. Their offense had just 308 yards, one turnover, and was 4-12 on third down. Tennessee, meanwhile, ran for 171 yards at 4.8 yards per carry, and was seven of 14 on third down. Tennessee has a better QB rotation this season with Jake Locker, Charlie Whitehurst, and impressive rookie Zach Mettenberger. Tennessee has a new coach and is averaging 22 points per game this preseason, including putting up 412 yards last week on the road at New Orleans. Their three QBs were a combined 28-36 for 324 yards, three TDs, no picks, and will do well against a suspect Atlanta secondary. Take the Titans.
