Tampa Bay at New England

The New England Patriots answered a few questions in Game one as they put up 31 points in a win. The loss of so many key receivers had many wondering if the offense would take a step back. That got answered very quickly, as Brady went 7-8 for 65 yards and a TD on his first drive. Sometimes I think Bill Belichick hears the negative whispers from the media. So instead of having to respond directly to the media, the man of such few words supplied his answers on the field early. But, now with that done, I expect the Pats to return to "normal." This team is just 16-21 in Belichick's last 37 NFL preseason games, and I don't look for much effort in this one - just a lot of depth searching. Tampa's Greg Schiano can't be happy with what he saw in Game one in a 44-16 loss to Baltimore. The Buccaneers turned the ball over four times, and got a punt blocked returned for a TD. I'm sure practice this week in Tampa Bay has not been pleasant, so I expect a much stronger effort and focus here. Once again we have a Week two matchup with a winless dog vs. a 1-0 favorite - a situation that has favored the dog over the years. Take Tampa Bay.
