Tampa Bay at Detroit

The Detroit Lions exploded for 27 points in the first half last week. Calvin Johnson and Matt Stafford were on pace to set NFL records in both QB passing yards, and WR receiving yards for a game. That came to a screeching halt however, as they were shutout in the second half with Johnson not catching a single pass. Did the Pittsburgh Steelers see something and make an adjustment? You can bet the Tampa Bay Bucs have studied the film from both halves, and Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay are #19 and #16 in the league in points allowed, respectively, and #14 and #15 in yards allowed per game, so the defenses are the same caliber. There is nothing like a win to get your motivation and confidence back. Tampa Bay has played better defense of late, despite the 28 allowed to Atlanta last week, as 22 of those came after they led 38-6. The Bucs also held Miami to 19 points the week before, so I think this is a much lower-scoring game than expected. Take the UNDER.
