The Detroit Lions offense has been a player short for most of the season, having to rely on their defense to keep them in games. They have regained the services of that one key offensive player, Calvin Johnson, who is now working himself back into game shape. Johnson caught 11 passes for 146 yards two TDs last week and and the Lions scored 34 points. The offense had sputtered the previous three weeks, but that came vs. good defenses in New England, Miami and Arizona. I think the Lions go off vs. Tampa Bay and their terrible defense (allowing 26.2 per game). The Bucs were 2-9 going into last week, but still had a chance in the woeful AFC South. But, reality set in with another loss to leave them at 2-10. I think the Bucs lose some energy in this one, and Detroit will have a big offensive game, and probably allow some garbage points late as well. The Bucs are 6-1 to the OVER after allowing 14 points or less in their previous game, and the Lions are 7-1 to the OVER after a win of 14 points or more. Take the OVER in this one.
