The Pittsburgh Steelers once again carry one of the top defenses in the league and will be facing a Rams team at home that has trouble scoring on an average offense. The Steelers couldn't find any offense last week with a hobbled Big Ben. He may or may not play here. That means an easy UNDER here right? Not so fast. St. Louis Rams have played to an average of 40 points per game in their four games against top level teams this season. They have also given up 27.3 ppg this season to winning teams. While the Steelers have a reputation for being defensive they have come out firing after a loss to play to a 10-4 mark to the OVER in their last 14. Under Mike Tomlin, the Steelers are 11-3 to the OVER after back-to-back ATS losses. San Francisco held down the Steelers last week but that is the #1 defense in the league (13.2 points per game allowed). St. Louis in contrast owns one of the worst in the league (24.7 per game allowed). Even Charlie Batch can score against this defense. I expect a big number here by the Pittsburgh offense, and resting defensive players late to allow St. Louis enough points to top this low total. Play the OVER in this one.
