Get out of the way of the freight train! Defending champion Seattle continues to be a beast in preseason under Pete Carroll at 2-0 SU/ATS the last two games, winning 41-14 and 34-6. And those were outstanding offensive teams (Chargers, Bears). Now they face the anemic Raiders. Seattle is the deepest team in the league - a big plus in preseason. Seattle is averaging 30.3 points per game in the preseason, second in the NFL to Philadelphia's 31.3, and averaging 5.9 yards per play, third in the NFL (Philly again leading the way there at 6.3). The #1 unit has scored on 10 of 12 drives, with another ending in a missed field goal. Carroll said this week to expect to see everybody to play, and that includes some action for the starters. Oakland has 5 turnovers in three games and has been terrible on third down no matter who has been quarterback. The run defense has been poor, allowing 115, 74 and 127 yards, and Seattle loves to punish D-lines with the ground attack. Seattle is on a 6-1 SU/ATS preseason run, including a 22-6 win in week four a year ago against these Raiders, allowing 234 yards and Oakland was 3-13 on third/fourth down.
