Seattle has a fine August QB rotation and a defense loaded with depth and talent. They didn't play their best last week, but this team still responds to Pete Carroll, even in preseason where he is 25-12 against the spread. Kansas City is off a blowout win at Arizona, but the starters didn't play that well and this team still has a lot of changes and injuries. Chiefs QB Alex Smith had a shaky start last Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals, throwing a rare interception. The Kansas City offensive line has had new looks the last two weeks as Andy Reid has tried new combinations in practice. Only left guard Ben Grubbs and center Eric Kush have been constants at their positions. But injuries to Chiefs offensive linemen Jeff Allen (knee) and Eric Fisher (high ankle sprain) this week have made things more difficult. In addition to Allen and Fisher being held out, Reid also said that quarterback Tyler Bray (knee), tight end Demetrius Harris (foot), wide receiver Junior Hemingway (hip), linebacker Justin March (knee), defensive lineman Dontari Poe (back) and OL Tavon Rooks would not play. Defensive back Sanders Commings (knee), LB Josh Mauga (heel) and wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (calf) are questionable tonight. Andy Reid has rarely cared about August play at just 29-36 SU, 28-33 ATS in preseason, and the Chiefs are on a money-burning 8-23 SU and 6-23-2 ATS run their last 31 preseason games. The Seattle defensive line matches up well, so grab the talented dog in bounce-back mode and play Seattle.
