San Francisco at Los Angeles

San Francisco used its special teams and defense to defeat Green Bay, 13-10, and now the 49ers play their fourth road game in four weeks. One of those was a 27-24 overtime win over the Rams, who had a 17-0 lead. It's difficult to beat a team twice within a month, especially after Los Angeles blew the first one and with so much on the line in this game. The Rams blew another lead before pulling out a 30-27 victory over Tampa Bay when Matthew Stafford threw for 366 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. He also threw a pair of long completions to Cooper Kupp to get the Rams close enough for Matt Gay to kick a game-winning 30-yard field goal. Jimmy Garoppolo did just enough to get the Niners the win, although he was just 11 of 19 for 131 yards with a costly interception near the end of the first half. San Francisco is only 5-13 ATS in its last 18 games after throwing for fewer than 150 yards its previous game. The Niners are 5-2 OVER after allowing fewer than 15 points (4-1 OVER after scoring fewer than 15). Under Sean McVay, Los Angeles is 40-26 ATS vs. NFC opponents. The Rams are 10-4-1 OVER following a win, 8-3-1 OVER after an ATS win, and they have covered five of their last seven playoff games. Stafford suffered a lot of frustration in his years with Detroit, but he is playing near his peak as the Rams head to the Super Bowl. Take the Rams and the OVER.
