Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin has a winning spread record during preseason and the Steelers have won 15 of their last 19 August tilts. Despite new quarterbacks in 2022, the Steelers began clicking down the stretch winning seven of their final nine. They also won all three preseason games last August. The QB depth is very good as Kenny Pickett has a year under his belt and is backed up by two guys with plenty of NFL experience and starts in 28-year-olds Mitch Trubisky (64 NFL games, 68 TDs) and Mason Rudolph (17 NFL games, 16 TDs). Tampa Bay is in rebuilding mode, an aging team that went 8-9 last year and lost star QB Tom Brady. QB Baker Mayfield is aboard and backed up by Kyle Trask (one NFL game, nine passes) and John Wolford (7 NFL games, 1 TD, 5 picks). The offensive line has bad been for a while with an NFL-worst 3.4 yards per carry in 2022.
