Pittsburgh at New York

The New York Jets defense is getting a lot of attention. They are ranked 2nd in the NFL in fewest yards allowed, but it isn't translating to the scoreboard as their opponents have scored 86 points the last three weeks. That comes to a sky-high 28.7 points per game! Pittsburgh looks like a team on the decline. The defense is still pretty decent, but they get absolutely no pressure, as they have recorded just four sacks on the season. That should create some time and space for Geno Smith to have at least a decent day. Smith has done most of his damage this season against low-pressure defenses like Pitt's. The Steelers defense, while ranked No. 10 in fewest yards per game, like the Jets, hasn't translated well on the scoreboard as they have allowed 74 points the last two weeks. The Jets are now 36-15-1 to the OVER in their last 52 games when following one in which they allowed more than 350 yards to their opponent. Under Rex Ryan, this Jets team sails over totals in expected close games, going 22-9 OVER in games with a line in the +3 to -3 range. In the Mike Tomlin era, the Steelers are 9-1 to the OVER on the road after back-to-back ATS losses.  Play the OVER.
