Pittsburgh at Atlanta

Atlanta put on another impressive defensive performance and now has allowed only 16 points its first two preseason games after tying Cincinnati, 13-13, last week. Desmond Ridder played the first series and completed 7 of 9 passes for 80 yards, and the Falcons escaped with the tie despite 13 penalties for 102 yards. The game stayed UNDER by 12.5 points, and the Falcons also went UNDER by 15 points in their preseason opener against Miami when they won 19-3. Taylor Heinecke finished 13 of 21 for 162 yards with no interceptions for Atlanta, and third-stringer Logan Woodside completed 4 of 6 for 58 yards against the Bengals. The Falcons also rushed for 116 yards on 4.3 yards per carry. Pittsburgh is 2-9 ATS its past 11 preseason games coming off an outright win as an underdog. Mike Tomlin is 36-26-1 UNDER in his preseason career and he plans to play his starters in the first quarter. Atlanta coach Arthur Smith will play a few starters if he thinks they need more work going into the regular season. The Steelers are playing on a shorter week and Atlanta has depth at the QB position. Take the Falcons to cover, and bet the UNDER as a Max Play.
