Philadelphia's offense has not gotten going yet, but don't worry as they will. This team has too much speed and talent on offense. QB Sam Bradford and RB DeMarco Murray have started slow, but they still came up with an impressive win at the Jets last week. You need to stop the run when playing the run-oriented Washington Redskins and the new-look Philadelphia defense has been sensational at #1 against the run. Opposing teams are averaging just 3.1 yards per carry against the Eagles, well ahead of the Jaguars (3.3) for the NFL lead. It's the first time since 1992 that the Eagles haven't allowed a rushing touchdown in their first three games. The Eagles are the only team to hold all three opponents to fewer than 3.4 yards per carry. They've allowed just four runs of 10 yards or more, and only the Ravens have allowed fewer. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. Philadelphia is allowing just 2.8 yards per carry on first down, second-best in the league behind the Broncos' 2.7. They face a Washington team with no QB, really, one that is 8-19 ATS versus the NFC and 15-38-3 ATS against a team with a losing record. QB Kirk Cousins (three TDs, four INTs) and his receivers have combined for only four plays of 25 yards or more while the Redskins have limped to a losing start. WR DeSean Jackson is still limping around with a hamstring injury and is day-to-day. Washington totaled just 88 rushing yards against the Giants, 19 coming on six attempts from former star RB Alfred Morris. Washington is on a 2-7 ATS run at home and a money-burning 5-24-2 ATS at home against a team with a losing road record. Philadelphia held the Jets to 47 yards on the ground last week and presents a super-tough matchup for a weak all-around Washington squad. The Eagles are 12-1 straight-up vs. the Redskins since 2000 when they hold them under 100 rushing yards, and the road team is 11-5-1 ATS when these division rivals clash. Back the Eagles in this one.
