Philadelphia at San Francisco

The San Francisco 49ers rose up defensively last week, but this is still a very suspect team on the defensive side. The Niners were torched for 31, 25 and 31 points in their first three games and come into this game vs. the Eagles ranked No. 27 out of 32 teams in points allowed. The Eagles in like fashion, stepped-up a couple weeks ago with a stellar effort vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, but have allowed over 25 points per game in their other three. This total is set rather low considering the defensive shortcomings of both teams. The Eagles have historically been an OVER team as an underdog, as indicated by their 21-7 mark to the OVER as a dog. They are also 14-4 OVER the past three seasons coming off an UNDER. These teams have also shown a penchant for lighting-up the scoreboard when they meet, as the total has gone OVER in five of the last six meetings. I expect nothing different here.
