Many believe that Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid does nothing to win these games during the NFL preseason. He has a poor record, but is it truly related to lack of interest? His offense produced 420 yards in their opener last year. Last week the Eagles, if Reid didn't care, should have lost the game, but they scored a 4th quarter TD and FG to win. The Eagles offense produced just shy of 500 total yards and threw the ball 35 times. I don't necessarily like Reid as a favorite, but when getting points against a team that should be bit fat and happy, there is value. The Bengals used seven running backs and three QB's last week. They wanted to atone for a very poor outing in their first game and they did (we were on them), cruising to an easy and big win over Denver. The desire to win is now much less. You have to go back to 2006 to find a year where the Bengals won and covered both of their home games during the NFLX. I have records back to the 1995-96 preseason and 2006 was the only year in the last 16 the Bengals won both their home games. This team is just 7-19 ATS during the preseason the past 17 years when coming off a win. I like Philadelphia to get the cover and maybe win here.
