All signs here point to a very low-scoring affair in this one but I am going the other way. This total is set low based on the Jets’ defensive prowess. Their primary strength is their ability to stop and handle the running game, having allowed just 101 total rushing yards through two games. They will however be without Darrelle Revis and NT Kris Jenkins here - two key cogs in their defensive success. The Dolphins are familiar with the Jets and believe it or not, they have some answers for this tough Jets defense. The Jets’ defense allowed 30 or more points just three times a year ago, and two of those 30+ point games were handed to them by this Miami team. The Dolphins have a powerful running game, and in the game down here a year ago, they scored 31 and ran for over 150 yards. The Dolphins have been a team that finds offense after being held down the week before as they are 9-3 to the OVER after scoring less than 15 in their previous game. The Jets are finding the points vs. the AFC as they have now gone 8-3-1 to the OVER in their last 12 vs. AFC teams. Last year these teams combined for 113 points in the two games played, so I like this one to go OVER the total.
