There are certain teams that get labeled either offensive or defensive, and it sometimes sticks to them longer than it should, or is deserved. The Jets were a big defensive team three years ago, but have steadily slipped on that side of the ball, while their offense which doesn't look good continues to play better than the look. The Jets have played just four of their last 40 games to a total of greater than 45. This is despite the fact that they are now 29-11 to the OVER in their last 40 games - hardly a trademark of a defensive team. Miami needed just a hot three weeks of defense to become a defensive team in the eyes of the oddsmakers and public when they didn't allow a TD in any of them. That defensive label carries into the low total here, despite the fact the Dolphins have allowed 25.3 points per game in their last three and one of them was against the Bills. The Jets are 20-6-1 to the OVER in their last 27 on the road, and this one plays OVER the total.
