New York has more defensive depth and talent than offensive punch. QB Aaron Rodgers was the big offseason acquisition, but they're not going to risk getting the 39-year-old franchise quarterback injured in this one, especially on the road. He's unlikely to see any preseason action. Backup QB Zack Wilson has 15 TDs, 18 picks in his career, while Tim Boyle has 3 TDs, 8 interceptions. The offense had just 188 yards, 9 first downs, and was 2-of-12 on third down in the Hall of Fame Game last week, scoring 16 points versus Cleveland. Carolina's QB rotation doesn't have much experience with rookie quarterback Bryce Young getting a few snaps, while second-year QB Matt Corral is likely to play the entire second half. Corral was 1-of-9 passing in last year's Week 1 preseason game and 10-of-24 for all of the 2022 NFLX. Look for boring game plans from both offenses with far more defense, punts, and field goals than touchdowns. Take New York/Carolina UNDER the total.
