New York played hard for coach Adam Gase last season, even after a bad start, winning six of their final eight games. QB Sam Darnold has plenty of upside, and they bring in a pair of speedy threats for him to spread the field in newcomer WR Breshad Perriman and rookie Denzel Mims (second round). And RB Le'Veon Bell can only be better as they've overhauled the O-line, especially on the interior. And veteran QB Joe Flacco arrives as a backup if needed. The defense is solid, seventh in the NFL in 2019 in total yards allowed and second against the run. The Jets have covered four of five as a dog, plus covered both meetings with the Bills last season (losing 17-16 and winning 13-6 on the road). Buffalo has a pedestrian, one-dimensional offense behind young QB Josh Allen (30 TDs, 21 picks in two seasons). Last year they were #23 in total yards, #26 in passing, and #22 in points (19.6 points per game). NFL Week 1 divisional underdogs are 21-5 ATS.
