Arguably t he most embarrasing loss of this NFL season happened in week 8. Washington, at 4-2 and coming off a 52-17 trouncing of San Francisco, went into the Meadowlands and ran into a team on with a huge emotional edge. The Giants handed the Redskins a 36-0 defeat. It sent the Skins crashing down to earth and they lost 3 of their next 4 games to fall to 5-6. Well, since then, Washington has won three straight and their playoff hopes are on the line. Think they have revenge in mind? Think they worked as hard as they have all season this week preparing for a team that humiliated them two months ago? I do. I think Washington, at home, will be mile-high this week. How can they not be? They get a heated division rival at home with the chance to further their playoff hopes while hurting their opponents'. It's payback time and Washington will be laying it all on the line. They face a Giants squad that has struggled away from home. They are 2-3 on the road with one of those wins coming against San Francisco (big deal). At home, they've won by an average score of 29.4-16. On the road, the average score has been 21.4-22.8. December home favorites do very well ATS vs. elite teams. And, small favorites who have rushed the ball extremely well of late cover the spread against elite teams at a 73% clip. The Skins want this one - real bad. Two stars on Washington minus the field goal.
