The New York Giants finally won their first game, but they still have a long way to go to get back in the hunt. The silver lining is that they are just three games behind in the sluggish NFC East. The Eagles are just 3-4, and surprisingly have yet to win at home. The Giants, believe it or not, have the second best defense in the entire NFL in terms of yards per play differential vs. the opponents averages that they have played. The Giants are allowing 4.7 yards per play against teams that average 5.6. Their biggest issue is turnovers, and the amount they have made are unsustainable. At this point in the season I expect to see that smooth out the rest of the way. They are under the radar, and should not be dismissed just yet when getting points against a bad team. The Eagles have actually been a worse team from the line of scrimmage, and this line just isn't close to the reality of these teams. The Eagles have gotten nothing done at home this year and are 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 home games. Meanwhile, the Giants have historically shined on the road under Tom Coughlin, going 46-31 ATS away from home. Take the Giants in this one.
