Two teams from the wretched NFC East battle tonight, and although both have played rather tough schedules, it doesn't change the fact that their combined win total is just two. Philadelphia comes into the week off a close loss to Baltimore, after losing at Pittsburgh and winning at San Francisco. New York managed to pull out a 20-19 win against lowly Washington, but it took a fumble recovery for a touchdown and some questionable play-calling by coach Ron Rivera to seal the victory. Hosting Baltimore, the Eagles nearly came all the way back from a 24-6 deficit, but failed on a two-point conversion attempt with 1:55 remaining. QB Carson Wentz went 21 of 40 for 213 yards and Philly racked up 194 rushing yards in a losing cause. The Eagles have beaten New York seven times in a row and they're hoping that Wentz can get back on track against a team that he threw for 614 yards and three touchdowns against last season. Philadelphia is 11-5 SU/ATS its past 16 Thursday games, outscoring opponents 24.2 to 21.6 in the process. The Eagles' current Thursday win streak is at five-straight. New York hasn't won in a mid-week game since 2015, going 0-4 SU/ATS in that span. While the Eagles pass defense is pretty bad, ranked 25th in the league in opponent pass completion percentage at 69%, that’s not something New York can take advantage of. Dating back to the start of the 2018 season, the Giants are just 5-16 straight up vs. teams that allow more than 64% completions. In that frame, New York is just 4-24 straight-up as an underdog! Meanwhile, the Doug Pederson-led Eagles are 25-11 straight up at home and 17-5 straight up following a high-scoring game in which 50-plus points were scored. Take the Eagles on the moneyline to get this win.
