A tale of two opposites. Hats off to Minnesota for beating a good Bronco’s team last week to remain undefeated. Minnesota is finding ways to win games and cover the spread-period. They are 6-0 in both categories. The G-Men are struggling in many ways. Their offense is 24th in the league and they can’t hang on to the football. They’re reeling from three straight losses and I see no reason why that will change this week. Last week’s loss was a doozy against a division rival whom they had down the whole game. New York dominated in just about every stat including yardage, time of possession and first downs but lost on an 84-yard punt return with a minute to play. Losing that game in that way doesn’t help the psyche of a team that was already down and doubting themselves. It doesn’t motivate. It deflates. What we have here is a home team on a confidence high and another that wants to bury their heads in the sand. Home teams on a sustained SU and ATS winning streaks cover about two thirds of the time. My lone favorite pick of the week is an easy one.
