It appears that Eli Manning will not start for the first time in 211 games and it's a mystery why there would be criticism of the move with the Giants sitting at 2-9 on the season. Manning has been wildly inconsistent for years now and New York has nothing to lose by turning to Geno Smith, who has a good chance to get a win against the woeful Oakland Raiders. Oakland's only three wins in their last nine games were against the fading Chiefs and the hapless Dolphins and Broncos. Even in the win against Denver, the Raiders hit another low point when a fight broke out in the first quarter. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree is suspended for one game and Amari Cooper is doubtful with a concussion and sprained ankle. Also, Smith can take advantage of a Raiders secondary that has a grand total of one interception this season. Oakland is 2-5 ATS its last seven games after an ATS win and 2-6-1 ATS its last nine games overall. The Raiders are 13-6-2 OVER their last 21 games against losing teams and 21-8-1 OVER their last 30 home contests and 19-7 OVER after a win dating to previous seasons. Take the points with the Giants and the OVER.
