New Orleans had to worry about the health of QB Drew Brees for a while, but they are in good shape as he played last week in a terrific win. Brees found C.J. Spiller for an 80-yard game-winning touchdown pass in overtime to knock off the Cowboys. The Saints are 4-0 ATS in October, plus 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games. This offense is an attacking one with Brees and an improved offensive line, leading to a 5-2 OVER the total in October, plus 7-3 OVER on the road. The Saints are third in the NFL in passing. They face a rebuilding Philadelphia defense that is 16-7 OVER the total following a spread loss and 35-17-1 OVER after accumulating fewer than 90 yards rushing in their previous game. The Eagles retooled offense, of which much was expected, has been slow to take flight under quarterback Sam Bradford. The Washington Redskins defeated Philadelphia in week four, 23-20. Philly is on a 1-6 ATS run against the NFC and 0-5 ATS on natural grass. They've also been money-burners at home for a long time, on an 11-25-1 ATS run at home, as well as a 2-6 ATS run overall. The visitors match up well and the OVER is 5-1 when the Eagles face a team with a losing record, including 8-3 OVER after a defeat. Under Sean Payton, the Saints are 45-25 OVER after an ATS win. Back New Orleans and the OVER in this one.
