The New York Jets were humiliated last week against Cincinnati, as they were beaten 49-9. Jets rookie QB Geno Smith has had some ups, but also a lot of downs. He has thrown just eight TD passes, while getting picked off 13 times on the season. He's been sacked more than any QB in the league not named Ryan Tannehill. He doesn't have a lot of weapons, and very little running game. So, the Jets are dependent on a reliable defense. Well, reliable against bad or average offenses. The Jets' three games vs. quarterbacks that are in the top 11 in passer rating have seen them allow 49, 38 and 28 points. That works out to 38.3 points per game. Today New York faces the #3 QB in the league. The Saints defense is vastly improved over last season thanks to Rob Ryan. Last season New Orleans allowed the second most yards in the league at over 7,000. This year they are much better and have allowed just 17.1 points per game. After a slow start, the Saints offense has averaged 31.4 ppg in their last five games , and are 8-2 ATS following a win by 14 points or more. There's not enough answers here for the Jets, so play on New Orleans.
