Minnesota at Philadelphia

The Minnesota Vikings probably wish their bye did not come when it did. The Vikings, despite losing RD Adrian Peterson and QB Teddy Bridgewater, both for the season, are off to a 5-0 start. It doesn't end there, as emerging WR Stefon Diggs injured his groin and is doubtful against the Eagles. The Vikings have now lost a trio of skill position players, and it is going to start showing up. Sam Bradford has played at a higher level than he ever has with a 109.8 passer rating, but that is more likely an illusion after 47 career starts in the low 80s. Philadelphia has gotten a pleasant surprise of their own with the play of rookie QB Carson Wentz. Wentz has a 100 passer rating. Philly has done just as good a job as Minnesota on defense allowing 15.6 points per game, and have a better scoring margin than the Vikings on the season, despite two losses. Teams that start 3-0 and then lose two straight games are 9-4-1 ATS at home, including a perfect 3-0 ATS as a home dog. I think the extra time works against Minnesota here as the momentum has been put on hold. Make the play on Philadelphia.
