The Minnesota Vikings never got things going this year and will be on the outside looking in come playoff time. This team has regressed from last year on both sides of the ball. The offense has gone from one of the best to one of the worst and a defense that was very tough a year ago, was only tough vs. the soft teams this year. The Vikings’ last seven games this season vs. a team with a winning record shows them giving up 204 points or 29.1 per game! That makes it tough to find the win column when all the good teams are hanging 30 on you. The Eagles found a big answer after trading Donovan McNabb, and it was Michael Vick. Vick has become the toughest QB in the league to defend with his improving accuracy, and his lightning speed with his legs. It is now a highly-explosive offense that appears to be peaking at the right time as the Eagles have averaged 34.3 ppg in their last seven games. The Vikings have now played OVER to a 40-19-1 mark on the road vs. a team with a winning home record, and the Eagles are now 10-4-1 to the OVER in their last 15 as a home favorite. No one has had an answer to Vick this year and I don't see an unmotivated Vikings team finding one this week. Philly has allowed 24+ points in seven of their last eight games, giving up over 27 per game over that stretch. Last night in the Saints-Falcons game three out of four public bets were coming in on the OVER and we went the other way. Tonight I agree with the public sentiment that this game will go OVER the total.
