Miami at Houston

Houston comes off a 20-9 win over New England despite a rough outing by C.J. Stroud in his first game with the Texans. Stroud played two series and went 2 of 4 for 13 yards and was sacked once. Davis Mills took over and finished 9 of 12 for 99 yards and a touchdown and Case Keenum had another TD pass. The Texans obviously have plenty of depth at the QB position and will likely play all of them in this game against Miami, which had a dismal showing in a 19-3 loss to Atlanta last week. Skylar Thompson and Mike White combined for 19 of 30 for 149 yards, but they couldn't get into the end zone and were picked off three times. The Texans have a new coach in DeMeco Ryans and he is eager to make a good impression with the home fans especially after Houston suffered through a 3-13-1 season in 2022. Miami coach Mike McDaniel went OVER two of his first three preseason games last year and he left the door open for Tua Tagovailoa to play some in the preseason although he didn't say how much. Stroud figures to be better after having a game under his belt and both teams have veteran QB experience. Take the Texans (Max Play), and play this game to go OVER the total.
