Los Angeles is a road favorite despite coming off another losing season under Jeff Fisher. The Rams have journeyman QB Case Keenum and an underwhelming set of receivers. Los Angeles ranked last in the NFL in total offense last season with a league-worst 175.3 yards passing per contest. Fisher and the Rams were favored seven times last season and lost four straight up. Last September the Rams were a three-point favorite in Week 2 to Washington and lost 24-10, then the next week were a small favorite over the banged-up Steelers and lost 12-6. Fisher is 3-6 SU/ATS the last nine times he's been favored with these Rams. Coach Fisher also has a career road record of 79-85. He heads out on the road here to face a division rival introducing a new coaching staff. Chip Kelly ran a great program at Oregon, then went 10-6 in each of his first two seasons with Philadelphia. He is innovative on offense with his uptempo, speed-oriented style that can wear out defenses. He also knows how to tutor quarterbacks. QB Blaine Gabbert threw for 354 yards in a 19-16 win over the Rams late last season as a +3 dog. San Francisco has also held opponents to 20 points or fewer in seven of eight home games, so the wagering value is on the home team to win the game. Play the 49ers on the moneyline.
