Los Angeles at Jacksonville

Dumping Jeff Fisher was one heck of an elixir for QB Jared Goff and the L.A. Rams offense. The Rams are fifth in the NFL in total yards on offense and second in points (30.4 points per game). The new coaching staff has been impressive as has QB Jared Goff (seven TDs, three INTs) and newcomer speedy WR Sammy Watkins. The Rams are 12-1 OVER the total against the AFC South division, which includes a 46-9 rout of the Colts in Week 1. Jacksonville lost its only home game to Tampa Bay, 37-16. The Jaguars' offense has been very good, fifth in the NFL in points (27.8 ppg), and tops in the league in rushing. But the defense is in the middle of the pack in yards allowed because of a bad run defense surrendering 146.4 yards on the ground per game -- only the Chargers are worse. Jacksonville is 19-44-2 ATS after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game, plus 24-41 ATS when facing a team with a winning percentage between 60-75%. Jacksonville is off a strong defensive game, but 27-13 OVER the total after allowing nine or fewer points the last game.
