At 1-1, the Minnesota Vikings are the only team in the NFC North with a win other than the Green Bay Packers who have two. The Vikings won at home last week against division rival Detroit 26-16. Meanwhile, the San Diego Chargers also own a home win vs. Detroit, while losing on the road in Cincinnati last week 24-19. The biggest difference here is San Diego QB Phillip Rivers who has completed an amazing 81.2% of his passes at 9.3 yards per attempt. He may finally have the missing running attack led by Melvin Gordon (30-139) at 4.6 yards per carry. The Chargers fit a week three spot that shows in games vs. 1-1 teams where the home favorite is 20-40-2 ATS since 1989, and the Chargers fit a road dog situation that is 93-38 ATS. Under Mike McCoy, the Chargers are 7-2 straight-up in non-conference games. I think the Chargers have what it takes to get over the top in this one, and come away with the straight-up road win. Take San Diego on the moneyline.
