There isn't much to say about the year Phillip Rivers and the Chargers have had. Once again a talented team will fail to be in the playoffs. It seems like when San Diego is expected to win or needs to win they find a way to lose, and when there is no reason for them to bring the "A" game they do. The Raiders are among the worst run defenses in the league, but lately they are heading into teams amongst the worst pass defenses as well, surrendering 275+ in each of their last three games. Carson Palmer has the offense on the move, but he has been highly interception prone in recent weeks, and could be the Raiders’ demise here if their suddenly dead defense doesn't take care of that themselves. The Raiders’ home resume is ugly at 5-22 ATS vs. teams with a losing record, and overall are just 2-11 ATS in their last 13 as a home favorite of -3 or less. Play on San Diego in this one.
