Las Vegas finally had enough of their bad defensive play and fired coordinator Paul Guenther, replacing him with defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, but the Raiders only have a short week to make the necessary adjustments. The Raiders are #30 in scoring defense, allowing 30.1 points per game, and they are #25 in total yards allowed. Indianapolis ran through a sieve-like defense for 212 rushing yards in its 44-27 victory on Sunday and Derek Carr threw two interceptions for Las Vegas. It was the third loss in four games for the Raiders while allowing an average of 37.5 points. Los Angeles managed to get a 20-17 win over Atlanta as the Chargers finally closed out a game on the winning side instead of blowing it. Michael Badgley hit a 43-yard field goal as time expired and Justin Herbert got a much-needed reward for playing well, as he finished 36 of 44 for 243 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. There is a revenge motive for Los Angeles as it lost the first meeting 31-26 on Nov. 8, and the Chargers are 32-15-4 ATS as road underdogs and they have covered four of their last five Thursday games. The road team is 9-3 ATS the last 12 meetings and the underdog is 17-6 ATS. The Raiders are 2-6 ATS their last eight December games. Take the Chargers.
