Not only is Kansas City 2-10-1 ATS its past 13 games, but now the Chiefs are struggling to win period after a close 33-29 victory against Cleveland and then a 36-35 loss to Baltimore on Sunday night. The Chiefs had question marks on the offensive line coming into the season, and now it looks like the defense could be a big problem. With Lamar Jackson dissecting Kansas City's stop-unit to the tune of 239 yards passing along with leading the Ravens' 251 yards rushing, the Chiefs appear very vulnerable defensively. Now the Chargers come to town with Justin Herbert coming off of his 10th 300-yard game, although penalties and turnovers cost Los Angeles a win against Dallas. The Chargers have played well defensively and are #13 in the league in yards allowed and #4 in passing yards allowed. Pat Mahomes finished 24 of 31 for 343 yards with 3 touchdowns with an interception against the Ravens. The Chargers, though, took the Chiefs to overtime in the first meeting in 2020 before losing 23-20. The Chiefs have gone OVER their first two games, and they are 9-3 OVER their last 12 September games. Also, Kansas City is 6-1 OVER following an ATS loss, and four of the past five meetings at Kansas City have soared OVER. Take the Chargers and the OVER.
