San Diego has one of the better quarterbacks in the game in veteran Philip Rivers (29 TDs, 13 INTs, 4,792 yards last season). In 2015, the Chargers ranked ninth in total offense (371.8 yards per game), fourth in passing (286.9 yards per game). They have covered six straight road games, and this is no ordinary opener, a division game against a rival. San Diego is 9-2-1 ATS in September. They are a good-sized dog to a Kansas City team that is all about playing defense and ball control on offense, not an explosive team scoring-wise. Last season the Chiefs ranked #27 in total offense and #30 in passing yards. Star RB Jamaal Charles isn't ready to go yet, still recovering from an ACL injury. On defense, Kansas City outside linebacker Justin Houston will not take the field as he is on the PUP list.
