Las Vegas at Seattle

Oakland has a new coach in Hue Jackson, the offensive coordinator from last season, and Al Saunders is now the new offensive coordinator. They have a decent QB rotation with experience in Jason Campbell, Trent Edwards and Kyle Boller. They come off an embarrassing home loss on national TV to the Saints 40-20, in a game that left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. Fortunately, they don’t play a team with that kind of offensive firepower this week. Seattle begins year two under Pete Carroll, who continues to make changes – for the worse. With Matt Hassellbeck gone, QB Tarvaris Jackson is the starter and Charlie Whitehurst the backup. The offensive line is beat up and has been terrible, with Russell Okung a longshot to make it back for this game. That offensive line is leaking and the pass protection is broken. Against Denver last Saturday, the Seahawks allowed five sacks. Rookie right tackle James Carpenter was abused by the Broncos' rookie pass rusher, Von Miller. And for the second week in a row, Tavares Jackson scrambled just to stay alive. The secondary is green: Of the 15 defensive backs on the roster, 11 are in their first or second season. Seattle is 2-5 SU, 3-4 ATS in preseason under Carroll. Play the Raiders.
