The good news for the Oakland Raiders is that they aren't facing Jamaal Charles this week. Last week the Raiders played one of those games you pretty much have to just throw out, as they were responsible for seven turnovers. There is something else lost from that game, and that is the Raiders' offense. Against a pretty good Chiefs defense, the Raiders scored 31 points despite the seven turnovers. To put that in perspective, only one team of the 42 that committed seven turnovers in a game scored more in NFL history! The bad loss coupled with San Diego's big upset win over Denver last week has certainly inflated the line here. But, that was a huge game for the Chargers and they left a lot of energy and emotion on the field there. Maybe this looks like a slam dunk for the Chargers, but before you mark it to the win column, remember that the Chargers have lost to teams that have won 2, 3, 4, and 5 games this season, and one of them was this same Oakland team. The Raiders will be ready to remove the bad taste from last week's debacle while the Chargers may still be basking a little too much in their glory. And NFL teams that gave up more than 52 points in their previous game has come back to cover 61.5% of the time in their next game. Take the bushel of points on Oakland.
