The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be in an ornery mood this week, coming off an embarrassing loss. Ornery doesn't always matter if you are facing a superior team, but here they get a Bills team with major concerns. The Chiefs also carry the memory of a blowout loss to the Bills in week one of last season. The Bills lost their season finale last year 49-21 to New England, and nothing has changed much in their opener losing to the Jets 48-28. That game was not even as close as the 20-point loss would indicate. Buffalo's addition of Mario Williams had no apparent effect on the grim outlook of the Bills defense. If they don't have enough problems on defense, the Bills took a pair of significant blows on offense in game one. They lost Fred Jackson after just six carries to a sprained knee ligament, and he'll miss four weeks. Wide receiver David nelson is now on IR as well with a torn knee ligament. The Chiefs looked good on offense last week. Jamaal Charles appears healthy as he ran for 87 yards on just 16 totes. The Chiefs have gone 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following a double-digit loss. The good news is that Tamba Hali and his 12 sacks from last season will be back to shore up the defense, as he has served his one-game suspension. The Chiefs may get a boost in their secondary if Flowers (probable) and Lewis see action after missing last week. All in all the Bills look bad, and lost key parts. The Chiefs showed some promise, are gaining parts, and are getting points. In his coaching career, Romeo Crennel is 14-2 ATS following a game in which his team allowed 30+ points. Play on Kansas City in this one.
