Young and rebuilding, Jacksonville has a decent August QB rotation with Blake Bortles and Chad Henne, but still has a lot of holes. This defense has a lot to work on after finishing #31 in points (28 ppg), #15 against the run and #29 versus the pass with 268 yards per contest. Last preseason the defense allowed 21, 22 and 22 points in the first three games, sailing over the total in Week 1 in a 23-21 win over Pittsburgh. Bortles and Henne combined to go 20-of-25 for 205 yards with one TD and no picks. The Jaguars plan to use the no-huddle more under offensive coordinator Greg Olsen. Jacksonville had one of the worst first-quarter offenses in the NFL in 2015, and fixing that in 2016 is one of the team's top goals in training camp. Jacksonville lost its first road contest at the Giants, 22-12, last August. Now they head to the same stadium to play the New York Jets. The Jets are not rebuilding, coming off a 10-win season with great depth and balance, with an offense that was 10th in yards and rushing, plus #11 in points (24.2 ppg). QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is back, signed, sealed and delivered, and there is plenty of fighting for the number two job with QBs Bryce Petty and Geno Smith. Coach Todd Graham runs a no-nonsense ship, going 3-1 SU/ATS in the 2015 preseason. His two home games the Jets won 30-22 and 24-18. The teams' only preseason meeting was in 2013, a 37-13 Jets' victory at MetLife that sailed over the total. This total is too low, as well. Play the Jets + OVER the total.
