The Jacksonville Jaguars have been projected to be a vastly improved team, and they opened with a big test against Green Bay at home last week. Green Bay won 28-24, but don't focus on the 28. The Jags were much better defensively than that. Last year Aaron Rodgers had his worst year ever in terms of yards per attempt, without Jordy Nelson, as the Pack could not stretch the field. With Nelson in the lineup, Jacksonville did an even better job, limiting Rodgers to 199 yards on 34 attempts, at 5.85 yards per attempt, even worse than last year's woeful numbers. A svelt Eddie lacey was supposed to be 100 yards a game, but the Pack combined for fewer than 100 on 25 carries. The Jags took the game right down to the last play, as they failed from inside the Packer 15 on a fourth down pass. San Diego couldn't have looked better against the Chiefs, dominating through two and a half quarters up 24-3, then Keenan Allen went down, and so did the Chargers, as the Chiefs rallied back for the win. That has to have this four win team from last year reeling, especially since after missing eight games last year, Keenan Allen is already out for the year. The Chargers have limited playmakers for Phillip Rivers, and appear to be in trouble. Make the play on Jacksonville.
