Buffalo coach Sean McDermott has won 12 of 18 preseason games with a 12-6 ATS mark, including 9-1 straight up and ATS the past three preseasons. Kyle Allen will likely get most of the reps in this game as Josh Allen went down with an injury on Monday although he wouldn't have played anyway. Allen is a six-year veteran who has played with four teams and he started 12 games for Carolina in 2019. Matt Barkley is next in line and he has been in the league since 2013 while playing sparingly. Barkley got into five games in 2022 and went 11-for-21 for 197 yards and a touchdown. Indianapolis has a new coach in Shane Steichen after a disastrous 2022 season when the Colts went 4-12-1 and inexplicably hired Jeff Saturday to replace Frank Reich and it did not turn out well. Steichen is known as a superior quarterback coach and they are depending on him to be a strong mentor to heralded rookie QB Anthony Richardson. The Colts picked up Gardner Minshew whose biggest year was 2019 when he started 12 games for Jacksonville. Minshew has started only four games the past two seasons with Philadlephia with seven TD passes and four interceptions. Sam Ehlinger is third string and started three games last year and went 64-for-101 with three TDs and three interceptions. McDermott's preseason record, home field, and the points make this a pick on Buffalo. Take the Bills as a Max Play.
