The oddsmakers continue to overestimate the New York Jets, who are obviously a bad team that wasn’t made much better from the mid-season coaching change. Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich is 0-3 and the Jets come off a 25-22 loss to the lowly Patriots on Sunday to drop to 2-6 on the season. Aaron Rodgers threw for 223 yards and two TDs on 17-for-28 passing. New England won despite being outgained 336-247. New York is 0-5 ATS its past five games and somehow is favored in this matchup against Houston, which is 6-2 and a winner of four of its past five games, including 23-20 over Indianapolis last week. C.J. Stroud threw for 285 yards and a TD and Joe Mixon ran for 102 yards and a score. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is out for the year with a knee injury, but the Texans have won five in a row against AFC opponents, and the Jets are 2-6 ATS their past eight home games. Also, New York is 0-5 ATS versus teams with winning records and 0-6-1 ATS as a favorite of 0.5-3.0 points. Take the Texans.
