Green Bay at Washington

Folks are perplexed by Green Bay's mid-season slump, capped by last week's 47-25 loss at Tennessee. But let's just relax, as QB Aaron Rodgers said during another mini-slump. Last season, the Pack lost five of six in the mid-season before turning things around and making the playoffs. Green Bay has one of the elite quarterbacks in the league with Rodgers (22 TDs, seven INTs) leading an offense that is #11 in the NFL in points (24.8 points per game), and #14 in passing. And the defense is still ranked #10 in yards. The Packers are 35-16 ATS after allowing 350+ total yards, plus 14-5 UNDER the total against the NFC. Green Bay is only one game out of first place in the NFC North and faces a Washington team that has outscored opponents by just three points this year despite playing an easy schedule. When they opened the year against the Steelers and Cowboys they lost both, 38-16 and 27-23 -- the latter as chalk. Washington's defense is #21 in yards allowed and #17 in points. The Redskins are 9-25 ATS at home against a team with a losing road record, plus 12-5 UNDER the total at home vs. a team with a losing road mark. These teams met on this field back in January and the Packers rolled as an underdog, 35-18. Green Bay ran for 141 yards and won easily despite going just 3-of-11 on third down. And the Packers' first four drives went: punt, safety, punt, punt. Don't count the talented Packers out just yet.
