Green Bay at Philadelphia

The Green Bay Packers have a potent offense, but what might be missing in the fan's eyes is the fact that this team finished No. 2 in yards allowed per game a year ago. The Eagles will be starting a new era as Donovan McNabb has moved to the Washington Redskins, leaving Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick to lead the offense. They might be hard-pressed to reach the 24-point mark as frequently this year as they did a year ago when they managed 11 games with 24 points or more. This offense might get back to their efficient levels, but it's not likely to be in game one. Andy Reid has been around for awhile, and I'm sure he isn't going to want to get into a shootout with the Packers. I look for him to try and shorten the game with short passes, and a lot of LeSean McCoy running. Week one offenses quite often are not in sync, as most NFL offenses are based on timing. The Eagles have played five of their last six openers to the UNDER, while the Packers have played four of their last five UNDER. This series has historically been low-scoring as six of the previous seven meetings have played to the UNDER. The UNDER gets the call in this one.
