The Packers have the best offense from the line of scrimmage this season - better than even Denver. The Pack is generating 6.8 yards per play to a schedule of teams allowing 5.6, so they have been 1.2 yards better. Denver is number 2 at 1.0. There are two reasons Green Bay has had so much success offensively. Aaron Rodgers is simply that good. He has few receivers left after injuries, but turns Boykins into a 100-yard receiver vs. a good Cleveland defense. Secondly, Rodgers finally has a running game behind Eddie Lacy. The Packers are third in the league in yards per carry at 4.9. Minnesota struggled offensively for the first time last week, but overall the Vikings are averaging better than 20 points per game. Christian Ponder is expected back under center in this one and he has played better than Freeman last week. The issue for the Vikings is that they allow over 30 points per game, and facing the most efficient offense is not going to help that situation. The Vikings have come back from gaining less than 250 total yards in their last game to play to a 28-10-2 mark to the OVER in their last 40. Under Mike McCarthy, the Packers are 21-11 OVER vs. bad defensive teams like Minnesota (teams allowing 350+ yards per game). Take the OVER here.
