Detroit at New York

Last week Detroit scored 20 fourth quarter points, rallying to beat Arizona 35-23 in a game that resembled many of the the Lions' games in 2016 when they rallied to win eight times in the final quarter. Matthew Stafford was 29-of-41 for 292 yards with four touchdown passes, including two to rookie Kenny Golladay. Detroit also gained 82 yards on the ground, which for them is notable since their running game has been a weak spot for several seasons. New York managed only a field goal in its 19-3 loss to Dallas. Eli Manning was 29-of-38 for 220 yards, but to no avail as he was under constant pressure due to an effective Cowboys defense and a suspect offensive line. The Giants had only 35 rushing yards on 2.9 yards per carry. Detroit is 8-3 after an ATS win and 5-2 ATS their last seven Monday games. The Giants are 0-5 ATS the last five seasons in Week 2 and their best player Odell Beckham Jr. is probable but won't be 100 percent as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. I think this line should be less than a field goal, so take the Lions to cover the number on Monday night.
