Detroit at Minnesota

A division game featuring a hot team against an ice cold one. Detroit has quietly won three of four games with QB Matt Stafford (16 TDs, four INTs) leading the charge. The Lions have plenty of offensive punch and are 23-9 ATS after scoring fewer than 15 points in their previous game. Stafford has topped 339 yards twice and 240 five times. They are also 37-18-2 OVER the total after scoring fewer than 15 points. They face a Minnesota team in turmoil, with offensive coordinator Norv Turner stepping down this week. The normally strong defense has allowed 21 and 20 points the last two games, the most points they've allowed all season, both losses. The Vikings can't run the football so they will have to pass often behind QB Sam Bradford (eight TDs, one pick) against a Detroit secondary that is #19 in passing yards allowed, plus #21 in points. The dog has covered four of the last five meetings and with the weather beautiful in Minneapolis Sunday, this shapes up as a high-scoring tilt. Play the Lions and the OVER.
