Winless Detroit is playing hard for new coach Dan Campbell, which is common as struggling/rebuilding teams have plenty of players and coaches with jobs on the line. The Lions made a nice comeback in the opener before losing to San Francisco, and last week they lost 19-17 to the Ravens as a +7.5 dog. Chicago's defense hasn't been as good as expected. They are #20 against the run, #19 in points surrendered (25.7 per game), and #26 in third-down 'D.' The offense is in worse shape, last in total yards and passing, and #28 in converting third downs. They don't even know who should be quarterback with Andy Dalton banged up, backup Nick Foles, and rookie Justin Fields, who was awful in his debut.
