Detroit at Chicago

The Lions have certainly turned the corner and more. This was a team that went years without winning a road game, and come into this contest a perfect 4-0 on the road for the season. They started the season 4-0 but then suffered back-to-back losses and it seems they are again under the radar. Those two losses came against San Francisco and Atlanta and they were in both contests, so don't abandon the Lions just yet. Before their bye, Detroit again showed how potent the can be, beating Denver by 35 points. The Bears are off a big Monday Night win over the Eagles on the road 30-24. That may look impressive, but the Eagles are 3-5 and have just a single win at home all season. The Eagles aren't who we thought they were. It was a nice win for Chicago but now they must face a legitimate team. The Lions were the better team in the first meeting this season, and remain the better team in this one. They have also had two weeks to prepare for the Bears, who are off a short week having played Monday - a tremendous advantage for Detroit. The Lions are confident on the road now as they are 8-2-2 ATS in their last 12 on the road, and overall have covered six straight as an underdog. The Lions are also 10-1-1 ATS following a win. The Bears ran all over the Eagles, but that isn't a good sign for this team as they are 7-18-1 ATS following a game where they went for over 150 yards on the ground. The Lions are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. the Bears. Let's also not forget the Lions are a team that is 17-5 ATS the past two seasons - yet they are getting points here against a team that is far from elite.
